CMS Cambridge Section, Gomti Nagar Extension lifts the Inter-School Basketball Championship Trophy

Lucknow, April 23 : The two-day Inter-School Basketball Championship organized under the aegis of Cambridge International, City Montessori School Gomti Nagar Extension came to a grand conclusion here today. Hosts CMS Cambridge International, Gomti Nagar Extension won the Overall Basketball Championship displaying outstanding vigour and talent. International Basketball player, Mr Anoop Shukla gave away the Championship Trophy to the winners amid loud applause and cheering. He was full of praise for the talented players of the Cambridge Section. Senior Principal of Cambridge International, Gomti Nagar Extension, Ms Manjit Batra expressed her gratitude towards the distinguished guests, parents and players and called upon the sports fraternity to keep up the spirit of good sportsmanship. Principal, Mrs Sangeeta Bannerji also congratulated the winners and all the participants and wished them all the best for a safe and bright future ahead.
This two-day Inter-School Basketball Championship was held on 22nd and 23rd April and was inaugurated on the first day by Mr Ashish Singh, National level Basketball Player. The tournament was held in two categories-Under 15 and Under 17 for Boys and Girls. Twelve teams of Lucknow participated in it including Seth M.R. Jaipuria School, Kunskapsskolan School, Seth A.R. Jaipuria School, G.D. Goenka School, The Millennium School, St. Francis School, CMS Kanpur Road Campus, CMS Gomtinagar Campus 1, CMS Asharfabad Campus, CMS Gomtinagar Extension, CMS Rajendra Nagar Campus 1 and CMS Cambridge Gomtinagar Extension. In Under-15 age group, Boys Category, and in Under 17 (Girls Category), Cambridge International, CMS Gomti Nagar Extension stood first and thus won the Overall Championship of the Basketball Tournament.
