Mounting enthusiasm witnessed among students for Childrens Educational Films

Lucknow, April 16 : The second day of the seven-day International Children’s Film Festival was marked by tremendous enthusiasm among the younger crowds for internationally acclaimed children’s films as the vast air conditioned auditoriums of CMS Kanpur Road were packed with children from various schools of the city. The second day of ICFF-2024 was inaugurated by the Chief Guest, Fr. Denis Naresh Lobo, Vicar General, Catholic Diocese of Lucknow by lighting the lamp of learning whereas the attractive presence of film actor Dev Joshi, actress Ms Bhumika Gurung, film producer Mr Satish Tewari motivated the children to see healthy cinema. The day's festivities began with the lighting of the lamp of art and culture followed by the All Religion Prayer making the atmosphere reverential. Spiritual awareness pervaded the senses as the lamp was lit by the Chief Guest. The Children’s Film Festival is the largest of its kind in the world inspiring the children to inculcate deep human values and familiarizing them with the cultures of several nations of the world.

            Today, the film festival witnessed the huge gathering of about 12000 students who derived inspiration from films from 91 countries of the world of which the special ones were: The Technology, A Dream with Open Eyes, Suicide Drone, Anokha Pitara, UP and Down, One Earth, The Peace Girl, The Water Formula, Circus show, Dance of Images, Aao Dosti Karien, Town Hall Square, Bade Kaam Ki Cheez, Beyond The Street, Yeh Kaisa Jahaan, River of Lian, The Art of Forgiveness, Get me Right, When Sisters Dream Together, The Pink Umbrella, Papa is big, I am small etc. The happiness writ large on the faces of the students was proof enough of the success of these educational children’s films. After seeing the films, most of the children commented that they felt immensely happy and enlightened after watching them and it was real edutainment for them. They learnt the lesson of love for all creatures including plants and animals and expressed their heartfelt gratitude for the organizers. Thousands of students various schools viz St. Ann's Convent School, MB Days Academy, Mona Convent School, Lady Fatima Children's Academy, Kendriya Vidyalaya, UP Sainik School and various campuses of City Montessori School etc. along with a large number of parents and teachers gathered at the venue to enjoy the educational films.
