Young skaters rule the rink with their style and speed

Lucknow, April 27 : The two-day Inter-School Roller Skating Championship organized by City Montessori School, Rajajipuram Campus II at CMS Gomti Nagar Campus II premises concluded here today. The competition witnessed participation of over 800 students from 69 elite schools of Lucknow. Young players under various categories participated with great enthusiasm in the event making it a huge success. The zooming skaters of different schools rolled on their skates and showcased their sporting talent, technique, agility and stamina in various events and won applause from the audience. This championship was organized by CMS Rajajipuram Campus II in collaboration with the District Roller Skating Association.

            Today, on the second and concluding day of the Roller Skating Championship, students of Classes V to VIII in both boys and girls categories displayed their sporting talent in various roller skating competitions. The students' control over the roller, speed control and mental balance were clearly visible and the audience clapped loudly and encouraged the young players. Rink-2 competitions were held today in which young players raced from 500 meters to 2000 meters on rollers. The talent of the students was worth seeing in Adjustable Race, Quads Race and Inline Races etc. The winning students were honored with medals and citations after the events of the day.

            Expressing heartfelt gratitude to the students, teachers and parents at the culmination of the event, Mrs Anupama Checker, Principal of CMS Rajajipuram Campus II, said that CMS is committed to the intellectual and physical development of its students and this championship is a part of these efforts.
